"Safeguarding the economy of the Lower Hudson Valley depends on keeping tolls affordable for residents who depend on crossing the Tappan Zee Bridge," said Carlucci. "This starts with freezing tolls at their current levels."
As part of the new state budget, $700 million has been invested in keeping tolls frozen until 2020, which along with a resident toll discount will provide further financial security for local communities, he added.
Additionally, the group will encourage all residents without EZPass to make sure to acquire one before April 23 when cashless tolls will be implemented on the Rockland side of the bridge.
