Beginning April 6, the classes will be held every Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. at the hospital, 160 Midland Ave., in the Krutz Auditorium.
The free program will be taught by certified yoga instructors with advanced cancer training. Each class will focus on teaching restorative and adaptive techniques targeted at promoting stress reduction and relaxation. Participants will explore yoga as a pathway toward healing on all levels. Mats, props and chairs will be provided.
A prescription from a medical provider is required for participation. For registration and information, contact Klara Kovacs at The Breast Center at Nyack Hospital, at 845-348-8507 or email kovacsk@nyackhospital.org.
The program is being made available with support from the Hernandez Family Foundation.
