Missing Rockland Man Jumped From GWB, Report Says

NEW SQUARE, N.Y. -- A New Square man, who authorities said has issues with depression and who had been missing since Friday, jumped off the span of the George Washington Bridge according to a News 12 report, citing officials.

Ramapo police are working with Village of New Square Emergency Services volunteers to locate 46-year-old David Ahronowitz, who has been missing since Friday, Jan. 22.

Video footage from the bridge span reviewed by the NYPD determined that David Ahronowitz jumped from the span.

David Ahronowitz, 46, was 5 feet 9 inches tall with brown eyes and brown hair, according to yeshivaworld.com. He was wearing traditional religious garb, the Village of New Square Emergency Services said.

Ramapo police worked with local emergency services to find Ahronowitz.
