Loews In West Nyack Screens 'The Champions,' About Rescued Pit Bulls

WEST NYACK, N.Y. -- AMC Loews Palisades Center 21 in West Nyack is showing a one night only exclusive screening of "The Champions," on Thursday, April 28, from 7:30-9:23 p.m.

"The Champions" is about the pit bulls rescued from the brutal fighting ring of NFL quarterback Michael Vick, and the organizations who risked everything to save them.

Cost is $16 for general admission.

"The Champions" is about the pit bulls rescued from the brutal fighting ring of NFL quarterback Michael Vick, and the organizations who risked everything to save them, despite pressure from PETA and The Humane Society of the United States to euthanize the dogs. 

It is a story of second-chances, redemption and hope. 

This uplifting documentary takes viewers on a journey about prejudice, being misunderstood, the power of resilience and the significance of the relationship humans have with animals. It features the lifesaving work of Best Friends Animal Society.
