UPPER NYACK, N.Y. -- Hazmat crews had to be called in after a mercury spill at a home in Upper Nyack, according to a report by News12.

A large barometer – a scientific instrument used to forecast the weather – broke while it was being moved and let loose with several ounces of the highly toxic metallic element, the News12 story said.
