In Rockland’s county office building in New City, you’ll only find an unarmed security guard behind a desk with a sign asking visitors to sign in, the report said.

The differences came to light during the recent budget negotiations where Day tried to have the sheriff's office bring in armed personnel. That idea was not approved by the Legislature and Falco says he doesn't answer to Day, added Lohud.com.

Day, a former NYPD commander of detectives, said he doesn't wait for a tragedy until something is done.

Falco, on the other hand, says taking officers off of duty to take over security would put the public in jeopardy.
