The cashless toll system is expected to be completed at some point this spring.

The overnight closures will last from 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. the following morning.

On Friday, the on-ramp closure will extend beyond 5 a.m. as demolition of the former maintenance facility for Tappan Zee Constructors and excavation of the New York State Thruway Authority’s former Tarrytown offices continues, according to a statement from the organization.

Additional work at the bridge, which is expected to last for months, includes construction noise barrier walls, the main span tower, supports for river-based work from the Rockland trestle, Rockland landing retaining walls, survey inspections on the exist bridge, Westchester landings utility work and several other projects related to the new bridge.
