College Student From Pearl River Dies After Apparent Fall From Building

A college student from the Hudson Valley died Saturday afternoon after he reportedly fell from a building during a party in the City of Binghamton.

Conor Donnelly, a Binghamton University freshman from Pearl River, died accidentally off campus, the university said in a statement.

Binghamton Police have not yet released any further details of the incident at an apartment house at 92 Front Street in Binghamton, overlooking the Chenango River. Emergency responders were called to the scene at approximately 2 p.m. after receiving a report that a person fell from a fourth-floor balcony at the rear of the building, according to WNBF News Radio 1290.

Donnelly was a 2016 graduate of Nanuet Senior High School.

"It is always difficult to lose someone, but it is especially difficult to lose a young member of our campus community so suddenly," Binghamton University President Harvey Stenger said in the statement.

Binghamton University is providing counseling for students affected by Donnelly's death.
