New Rockland County Eatery Serves Up Modern American Fare

A Hudson Valley cafe that opened a little over a year ago has become a beloved neighborhood destination, according to foodies and casual diners.

The Four Star Cafe in Rockland County, in Congers, is known for its small plates, pizzas, good food, and stiff drinks.

Yelper Global M. said: "Should be called five-star cafe. Nothing else to say beyond that. Good food. Good service. Especially make sure to get dessert."

The pizzas, flamed-grilled burgers, and many appetizers, including the Bronx-style calamari and the petit lamb chops, seem to be menu favorites.

But there's plenty more on the menu, including many seafood and pasta dishes and multiple varieties of steak.

Foodies say the "cozy" bar offers plenty of interesting drink options and that it's the kind of place you come back to.

The interior is small, so a reservation is probably a good idea for dinner.

Overall, the Four Start Cafe hits all the marks for a neighborhood restaurant, including the prices (medium) and the wait staff (great, online reviewers said).
