Babcock, a man of few words, has logged more than 38 years in the career, according to lohud.com, which reported that he grew up in Pomona and Hillcrest and graduated from Spring Valley High School.
While the price of stamps has risen and the amount of bulk packages have increased over the years, Babcock said the job is essentially the same as it was when he began nearly four decades ago, according to lohud.com.
Though uncertain of how many letters he’s carried during his tenure, Babcock is certain of one thing: his next adventure, according to lohud.com, which reported that he plans to retire to Florida with his wife, Helen.
