Murray owns a multi-million-dollar home in the exclusive enclave of Sneden’s Landing as well as abodes in California and South Carolina.

The comedian and writer first gained fame on “Saturday Night Live” and went on to star in such movies as “Ghostbusters,” “Caddyshack” and “Groundhog Day.”

Once word spread that Murray was going to guest bartend for his son, Homer, fans started to line up around the block to get into the eatery, The New York Times reported.

21 Greenpoint's co-owner is Syd Silva, according to The New York Times report.

The senior Murray made up for showing more than an hour late by pouring on the charm -- singing and brandishing his dry sense of humor -- as he poured out the booze, The New York Times’ story said.

A special cocktail -- made from Slovenia vodka (Murray’s reported drink of choice), Amaro liqueur and a pinch of dried rosebuds -- created in honor of the occasion was dubbed “The Depth-Finder” by the urban folk hero, The New York Times’ article said.

According to a report by rawstory.com, this was not Murray’s first time behind a bar.

He poured shots and schmoozed with patrons at a tavern in Austin, Texas, in 2010, an rare, social-media documented display of Murray’s bartending powers, rawstory.com reported.
