Staff, patients and hospital visitors, rather than pay $2 for lot parking or use a valet choice, seek street parking, said the lohud.com report.
The practice has resulted in road congestion, a resident told the lohud.com.
A village restriction to prohibit parking on the street until 11 a.m. on some days relieves the problem only temporarily, the resident told lohud.com.
The parking problem is reportedly a "nuisance" to people who live there and a danger to kids playing nearby, and walkers, according to lohud.com.
The project, which involves an emergency room renovation and new outpatient provider facility, will mean the same or fewer, not more patients, to the area, a spokeswoman told lohud.com.
