Sisters Carol Carullo and Dorothy Maxwell entered the congregation 50 years ago in 1966. They celebrated 50 years of service on Oct. 8 at the Motherhouse in Blauvelt.

Over the last 50 years Sister Carullo and Sister Maxwell served in a variety of ministries. Currently Sister Carullo ministers at Maryount Convent in Tarrytown as a medical driver and Sister Maxwell serves the congregation as the Director of Retirement Services and Preaching Promoter.

The celebration for Sisters Carullo and Maxwell follows other significant milestones within the congregation. Earlier this year four Dominican Sisters celebrated their diamond jubilee--70 years of service--while two other Dominican Sisters celebrated 60 years in the congregation.
