Jolie lived for a time in Snedens Landing, a hamlet on the Hudson River in Rockland County, with her mother and brother after her parents divorced. The family eventually moved back to Los Angeles.
She is the daughter of actor Jon Voight, a Yonkers native who graduated from Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains.
Jolie discussed the divorce publicly for the first time in an interview with BBC World News in Cambodia at a screening of “First They Killed My Father.” The film, which deals with the Khmer Rouge genocide, was written and directed by Jolie.
Jolie, who cited irreconcilable differences in her divorce papers, has sole custody of the kids.
Jolie's childhood abode in Rockland, a 1950s, 4,000-square-foot house, was purchased by a house flipper and renovated, according to media reports. In 2015, it was listed at about $2 million.
Known as the Whitney House, it appeared to still be on the market last August. It could not be determined Monday if it has since sold.
Other celebs who have called Snedens Landing home include actress Ellen Burstyn and newsman Mike Wallace.
