Think "Flight of the Bumble Bee," added to Megadeth played really fast and there you have it -- prog shred music.

"There will be a lot of head banging going on," said Anne Leighton, one of the founders of the annual festival that also tours around the country. "I would imagine there are a lot of chiropractic appointments the following day."

Started in 2015 by three bands: Circuline, Shadow Eden, and Stratospheerius, Sonic Voyage Fest’s purpose is to create a night of music that pushes boundaries and gets concertgoers up and going.

Performing this year will be Joe Deninzon & Stratospheerius, Ad Astra (a Westchester group) and Valence, she added.

Part of Sonic Voyage Fest’s goal is also to raise the consciousness of younger artists and military veterans’ relationship with music. Band members invite dialogue with fans and musicians between sets and exchange thoughts on improvisation and composition, Leighton said.

Admission is $5. Must be over 21 to enter. The concert will be held at Olives, located at 118 Main St. For more information, visit: www.sonicvoyagefest.com.
