Expect plenty of company on the roads as you head to grandma’s house. A record 79.9 million travelers are expected to head 50 miles or more from home over the Thanksgiving holiday travel period, AAA forecasts. That’s up 1.7 million over last year. A major multi-threat storm originating in the Midwest is expected have a variety of impacts on the East Coast which could threaten travel at the start of travel the week before Thanksgiving. Breeze Airways Adding Nonstop Service From Westchester County Airport To This Sunny Destination
You’ll soon have more options when it comes to booking that Florida vacation. Breeze Airways is expanding its service from New York and Connecticut to the Sunshine State, the airline announced Wednesday, Aug. 7. Starting this fall, customers can book nonstop flights from both Westchester County Airport and Long Island MacArthur Airport to Sarasota, Florida. Rockland County Launches Free TOR Ferry Weekend Connection Bus
Weekend travelers will now have the opportunity to take a TOR ferry connection bus beginning this weekend to explore different parts of the Hudson Valley and New York City, free of charge. Rockland County Executive Ed Day and the Department of Public Transportation said that the service will begin on Saturday, July 6, and run through Nov. 10. Brand-New Mobile ID Launches In NY, Promises 'Convenience, Security'
Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that New Yorkers can now have a digital version of their state-issued driver's license or identification right on their smartphones. Hochul and the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles announced on Tuesday, June 11 that the new program, New York Mobile ID, was now available to all New Yorkers.
