13-Year-Old Accused Of Making 'Terroristic Threat' To School In Hudson Valley A teenager faces a felony charge after sending threatening emails to a school in the Hudson Valley, police said.  The arrest resulted from an incident on Friday, Sept. 6, when a school in Putnam County's Green Chimneys School District within the town of Patterson alerted the Putnam County Sheriff's Office of concerning emails it had received, the Sheriff's Office said on Friday, Sept. 13.  Investigators then used forensic computer analysis to identify the suspect, a 13-year-old student of the school who was interviewed in front of their parents.  On Wednesday,…

A An out-of-state man has been convicted of manslaughter in connection with the assisted suicide death of a woman in a Hudson Valley hotel room. Stephen Miller, age 85, of Tucson, Arizona, was sentenced to five years of probation on Tuesday, Sept. 3, in Ulster County Court in Kingston.  The conviction is in connection with the Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023, death of a woman found unresponsive by the cleaning staff at the Super 8 Motel in Kingston, said Ulster County District Attorney Emmanuel Nneji.
