New Traffic Pattern Will Be In Place For Months On Busy Roadway In Hudson Valley A new traffic pattern will be in place for more than six months on a busy roadway in the region. The New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) is advising motorists in Northern Westchester County that the new pattern controlled by temporary signals will be on Route 6/202 in Cortlandt. The new pattern is necessary to facilitate an ongoing flood mitigation project at the Annsville Circle, the DOT said. The New York State Department of Transportation( (DOT)  is advising motorists in Rockland to expect the roadway  to close in both directions in Clarkstown. The constructive activities will be between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m., beginning Monday, Oct. 7, through Friday, Oct.18, between Short Clove Road and Route 304,  Motorists should anticipate delays and follow the posted detour.

$32M Resurfacing Project Begins On I-287 Stretch Work has commenced on a multi-million dollar project that will restore a well-used stretch of highway in Westchester, officials announced.  In an announcement this week, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said a $32.4 million resurfacing project has started on a 5.5-mile stretch of Interstate 287 (Cross Westchester Expressway) between Westchester Avenue in Harrison and Route 1 in Rye.  According to Hochul, the project will repair road joints, add new pavement, and upgrade road striping on the stretch of highway, which is part of one of the busiest roadways in the Hudson Valley. …

Months-Long Closure Of Roadway In Northern Westchester Starts A months-long closure of a roadway in the region is now underway. The New York State Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling in Northern Westchester County that Illington Road will be closed at the Taconic State Parkway in the Village of Ossining. The DOT said the closure, from Monday, July 29, through Monday, Nov. 18, is to facilitate a bridge rehabilitation project, weather permitting. Motorists should follow the posted detour as an alternate. The roadway closure is necessary to facilitate the ongoing rehabilitation of key bridges in the Hudson Valley.
