Firefighter Falls Through Floor While Battling Blaze At Hudson Valley Home A firefighter fell through a floor during the response to a blaze at a Northern Westchester residence. The blaze began on Tuesday, Oct. 29 inside the laundry room at a North Salem home on Nash Road, according to the Croton Falls Fire Department.  Arriving fire crews soon began dousing the flames with hose lines and started making their way inside. However, while firefighters were battling the blaze inside, one member fell through the floor, prompting a mayday transmission.  The firefighter was soon found, though, and removed from the building with minor injuries.
