Suspect Nabbed In Hudson Valley After Knifepoint Robbery Leads To Cross-State Manhunt From a FedEx delivery to a high-stakes chase, a cross-state manhunt ended in the dramatic arrest in New York of a suspect from Pennsylvania who allegedly fled from a knifepoint robbery in Connecticut.  The Putnam County Sheriff's Office just released details on the chain of events that began Monday, Sept. 30, at approximately 3:45 p.m. when it received a description of a vehicle and suspect that had just been involved in the Litchfield County incident in the town of New Milford. Traffic Alert: Lane Reductions Expected Along I-84 In Hudson Valley Commuters should note that a section of I-84 will be reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge painting. Person Killed In Crash Between Car, SUV In Hudson Valley One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. It happened at around 7:40 a.m. Saturday, July 27 on a stretch of I-84 in Orange County. New York State Police say that a preliminary investigation revealed that a small compact car was rear-ended by an SUV in the town of Newburgh, causing both vehicles to leave the roadway and the SUV to roll over.  The driver and sole occupant of the SUV was pronounced dead. Kathy Hochul announced Tuesday, June 25, that work is underway on a $17.4 million project to rehabilitate three highway bridges in the Hudson Valley, in Rockland, Westchester, and Orange counties.
