Hertgen's charges were announced Monday, Feb. 24, by Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey, following the Saturday, Feb. 22 death of 26-year-old Joseph Hertgen in Princeton. Hudson Valley Man Charged With Burglary After Forcibly Entering Motel Room With Knife: Police A Hudson Valley man is behind bars after allegedly breaking into a motel room with a knife. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at the Pine Grove Motel in Beekman at 6:40 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1. According to Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a call of a burglary in progress.
