The fire broke out around 3:45 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, at 54 Broad Street in Waterford, where officers arrived on the scene and assisted with evacuating residents from the second-floor apartments, according to a press release from Public Safety Commissioner Michael J. Person Narrowly Escapes Late-Night Apartment Blaze In Region A late-night fire at an apartment complex in the region saw one individual's narrow escape and left three firefighters needing medical attention as local fire crews battled intense flames. The blaze occurred in Orange County around 10:45 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 39 Kenny Court in Newburgh.
