Gas Instead Of Brake: Driver Plows Car Into Rockland County Wendy's A driver in Nanuet had a mix-up Saturday, Jan. 25, accidentally shifting into drive instead of reverse and crashing into a Wendy’s, police said. Clarkstown Police Department officers responded to the scene, where the vehicle had collided with the building. Fortunately, no one was injured, and the fast-food restaurant remained open for business following the incident. The Clarkstown building inspector was called to evaluate the damage and ensure the structure’s safety. Wendy’s Begins Closures Of 140 Locations Nationwide Wendy’s has started planned closures of 140 restaurants across the US. The closures are part of a strategic effort to streamline operations and focus on more profitable locations amid rising operational costs and stiff competition.
