Crash Causes Hours-Long Road Closure In Rockland County
A serious traffic crash in the Hudson Valley is causing an hours-long road closure. The crash occurred in Rockland County early on Friday, Sept. 13, on Route 45 in Ramapo. According to the Ramapo Police, Orange & Rockland Utilities will close Route 45 at Rensselaer and New Hempstead for the next 8 to 12 hours while working on repairs. Serious Hudson Valley Crash Leaves Rider In Critical Condition
A person was hospitalized in critical condition following a serious crash in the Hudson Valley that caused an hours-long road closure. The crash happened in Putnam County on Friday, Aug. 30 at around 5 p.m., when a motorcycle crashed on Route 22 near the intersection with Route 311, according to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. The motorcyclist was later taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, Hicks said. Route 22 in the crash area was closed until around 8 p.m. on Friday as authorities investigated the incident.

Serious Crash Causes Closure On Busy Hudson Valley Road
A section of a busy road in the Hudson Valley was closed for an extended period of time following a serious crash. The incident happened in Putnam County on Wednesday evening, Aug. 14, when vehicles collided on Route 6 (Carmel Avenue) in the village of Brewster between North Main Street and Putnam Avenue, according to the Brewster Fire Department. A road in the Hudson Valley was closed for several hours after a fire truck from a Connecticut department crashed while its driver was allegedly texting, authorities said. The crash happened in Putnam County on Tuesday, Aug. 14 around 11:45 a.m., when a fire truck from the Candlewood Lake Fire Department in the Fairfield County town of Brookfield went off the roadway on Haviland Hollow Road (Route 68) in Patterson, according to Captain Michael Grossi of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. Traffic Alert: Bridge Replacement To Close Roadway In Region
Drivers should note that a section of a Sullivan County roadway will be closed for a bridge replacement. The replacement will occur in the town of Cochecton on County Road 115—Odell Road. The bridge is located immediately west of the intersection of Fred White Road with County Road 115, said Dan Hurst, spokesman for Sullivan County. This section of the roadway is scheduled to be closed to all traffic starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, and will remain closed for approximately three weeks. Traffic Alert: Lane Reductions Expected Along I-84 In Hudson Valley
Commuters should note that a section of I-84 will be reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge painting. Months-Long Closure Of Roadway In Northern Westchester Starts
A months-long closure of a roadway in the region is now underway. The New York State Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling in Northern Westchester County that Illington Road will be closed at the Taconic State Parkway in the Village of Ossining. The DOT said the closure, from Monday, July 29, through Monday, Nov. 18, is to facilitate a bridge rehabilitation project, weather permitting. Motorists should follow the posted detour as an alternate. The roadway closure is necessary to facilitate the ongoing rehabilitation of key bridges in the Hudson Valley.

Motorists in Rockland County can expect delays and detours as Route 303 closes in both directions for sewer repair work.
