Hunter Hospitalized After Accidental Shooting In Hudson Valley An early morning hunting expedition turned perilous for a 26-year-old man, who was hospitalized following a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  Ulster County Sheriff's deputies were called to Woods Road in Kingston on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 7 a.m., where they found the hunter in his pickup truck with a severe injury to his left forearm, said Capt. Joseph Sciutto. Child Airlifted After Fall On Field Trip In Hudson Valley A child was airlifted to the hospital after being seriously injured during a fall on a school field trip in the region. The incident happened at about 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 in Dutchess County at the Mount Beacon Trail head. Initial updates from the Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response 911 Center (DCDER) indicated that the school personnel had administered first aid and were attempting to assist the patient down the mountain, according to information provided by the Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
