A man already on probation is facing major felony charges after investigators said they found large amounts of fentanyl and cocaine, loaded guns, and thousands of dollars in cash during a raid at an Orange County apartment.
Alton Junior, 42, was arrested on Tuesday, July 7, following a search at 15 Colden St., Apt. 219, in Newburgh on the same day, the Orange County Sheriff's Office announced on Tuesday, July 14.

A 39-year-old Westchester County woman was shot and killed in the Bronx, prompting a search for the person responsible.
The fatal shooting happened at around 11:56 p.m. on Monday, July 13, outside 4385 Murdock Ave. in the Bronx, according to the NYPD.
Officers responding to a 911 call reporting an assault found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to her abdomen.

Daniel J. Van Aken, 28, of Providence, was arrested on Wednesday, July 2, following an investigation into an animal cruelty complaint received by the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday, July 1, according to a media release issued Sunday, July 12.
Investigators said Van Aken shot his dog with a shotgun "with no justifiable purpose," causing the animal's death.

Five people were injured, including two seriously, in a three-car crash on Route 303 in Rockland County on Friday night, July 10, police said.
Orangetown police responded to the crash on Route 303, just south of the intersection with Route 340, at approximately 8:52 p.m., where a 2014 Volkswagen station wagon traveling north on Route 303 struck a 2009 Lexus SUV that was stopped in traffic, according to Capt.
