ICE Detains Georgetown Doctoral Student For Alleged Hamas Ties: Feds Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has detained Badar Khan Suri, a Georgetown University academic, citing alleged ties to Hamas and the promotion of antisemitic propaganda, federal officials confirmed. The news was first reported by Politico and later confirmed by Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Suri's lawyer filed a suit fighting for his release, obtained by Politico. Utah Man Who Threatened To Shoot Up NY Synagogue Arrested In NJ: Report, Nypd A Utah man accused of making online threats against a prominent New York City synagogue was arrested in New Jersey over the weekend, according to the NYPD and ABC7. A spokesperson for the NYPD said an individual was arrested by the Port Authority Police Department on the New Jersey side of the Lincoln Tunnel around 5:30 p.m. Friday. That suspect was identified as Luis Ramirez, 23,  by ABC7. Charges against Ramirez were pending.
