A Long Island man has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help in locating him. Mario Potrero Feliciano, age 30, is described as being 5-foot-3, 140 pounds with medium length black hair and brown eyes, according to Southampton Town Police. A toddler has died days after being pulled unconscious from a residential swimming pool on Long Island. Emergency crews in Southampton were called to a North Haven residence on Sunset Beach Road for a 2-year-old boy who was found floating in a pool at around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, July 7. 2-Year-Old Boy Found Unconscious In Swimming Pool On Long Island
A toddler is hospitalized after being pulled unconscious from a swimming pool on Long Island. Swimmer Drowns At Long Island Beach
A 54-year-old man died after being pulled from the water at a Long Island beach. Emergency crews in Southampton were called shortly before 3 p.m. Monday, June 24, for a drowning victim at Altenkirch County Park, located in the hamlet of Hampton Bays near Dune Road and Road H. Another beachgoer removed the man from the water and performed CPR, but he was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Southampton Town Police identified the man as Peter Dzakonski, of Hampton Bays. A second man at the beach was also hospitalized after reporting chest pain and difficulty breathing.

Police are warning of an uptick in real estate scammers who are targeting vacant properties on Long Island. Southampton Town Police put real estate agencies on notice that they’ve seen an increase in criminals posing as property owners who seek representation in negotiating the sale of lien-free, vacant land. The scammers can successfully defraud a potential buyer by accepting funds that are transferred to an out-of-town account.
