Suspect Nabbed After 30-Year-Old From North Babylon Shot, Killed In Broad Daylight A suspect has been apprehended after a fatal shooting in broad daylight outside a Long Island residence. It happened around 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30 in Brentwood. Joshua E. Jasmin, age 30, of North Babylon, was transported via Brentwood Legion Ambulance to South Shore University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Following an investigation, Romeo Campbell, age 23, of Brentwood, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He was held overnight and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday, Aug. 31.

Suspect Nabbed In 7-Eleven Robbery On Long Island A suspect was arrested in connection with a robbery at a Long Island 7-Eleven store. The incident happened in Oceanside, at the 7-Eleven on Atlantic Avenue, at around 5:20 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13. Nassau County Police said a man entered the store and began removing around 20 cigarette boxes from behind the counter. He threatened an employee before leaving without paying. A short time later, officers arrested 33-year-old Anthony Candelaria, of Oceanside, on suspicion of third-degree robbery. He was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday, Aug. 14.

Nassau County Police were called to the Macy’s store in Manhasset, located at 1100 Northern Boulevard, for a robbery at around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 16. A loss prevention employee told officers that two men stole items before fleeing in a black Kia. On their way out, one of the men was involved in a physical altercation with the worker.
