According to the National Weather Service, high pressure over the area Friday morning, Oct. 4, will move east in the afternoon.
Friday will have a mix of clouds and sun, with a high temperature in the low 70s and calm winds.
This will allow a cold front to approach Friday night, with a chance of showers mainly inland and after midnight into just after daybreak on Saturday, Oct. 5.
The weekend looks mainly dry and warm.
High temperatures on Saturday will be in the low to mid-70s, with mostly sunny skies.
Look for plenty of sunshine on Sunday, Oct. 6, with a high temperature right around 70 degrees.
A stronger cold front will push through Sunday night into Monday morning, Oct. 7, bringing overnight showers that will linger into the middle of Monday morning.
It will become partly sunny, with temperatures generally in the upper 60s.
The outlook for Tuesday, Oct. 8, calls for sunny skies and a high temperature in the mid-60s.
Overnight lows will dip into the low to mid-40s for most of the region and into the 30s in parts of northern New York and New England. There will be a chance for snow showers in areas with the highest elevation.
"It is possible that in some of the ridges and peaks in the Adirondack, Green and White mountains, there is a light covering of snow," AccuWeather Meteorologist Grady Gilman said.
