It happened around 9:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 in Rocky Point. Suffolk County Police say the man was driving a 2017 Jeep Cherokee eastbound on Lower Rocky Point Road, when the vehicle veered left at the intersection of Hagerman Landing Road, left the roadway, and crashed. 21-Year-Old Nabbed After Breaking Into Long Island Home, Police Say A 21-year-old man is accused of burglarizing a Long Island home. Nassau County Police were called about a break-in at an Inwood residence on Wahl Avenue at around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2. When officers arrived, they found Wilber Sigaran fleeing the scene, police said. An officer caught up to Sigaran and deployed a TASER device in order to place him under arrest. Sigaran, of Inwood, is charged with assault and burglary. He was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday, Oct. 3.
