Smithtown Dealer's Fentanyl Killed 17-Year-Old Girl, DA Says
An admitted drug dealer was formally charged in connection with the overdose death of a 17-year-old Long Island girl. Daquan Booker, age 34, of Smithtown, was arraigned on multiple drug charges in Nassau County Court on Tuesday, Oct. 15, following the death of Garden City High School senior Grace Wrightington. Prosecutors said Booker met with the teen on at least two occasions in July 2023 and sold her purported oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl. A Long Island man who was previously accused of exposing himself to a young girl is now charged with possessing child pornography. Jhonatan Fuentes, age 29, of East Meadow, was arrested Friday, Oct. 11, after an investigation revealed he was in possession of child pornography, Nassau County Police said. Man Exposes Himself To 11-Year-Old Girl At Long Island Park, Police Say
A man is accused of exposing himself to a girl at a Long Island park. Nassau County Police were called about a man committing a lewd act at West Hempstead’s Halls Pond Park, located on Nassau Boulevard, at around 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. An 11-year-old girl told her father that she witnessed a man inappropriately touching himself. The father also witnessed the incident. A month after a female Mastiff dog was found tied to a light pole on the Southern State Parkway, police have arrested a suspect.
