A woman escaped unharmed following an armed carjacking in the region. The incident happened shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday, July 25, in Albany near Alexander and Clinton streets. Albany Police said the victim told officers she was sitting in her vehicle when two men approached, one appearing to hold a handgun, and demanded her car. Police in the region are looking for a suspect who allegedly assaulted a Burger King clerk and robbed the restaurant after they refused his coupon. Three decades after Betty Conley was shot and killed while working at a convenience store in the region, her killer has yet to face justice. The Saratoga County murder happened in the town of Charlton, at the Xtra Mart on State Route 67, at around 3 a.m. on July 8, 1993.
