As previously reported by Daily Voice, Craig "Hammer" Sutherland and Charity Hogan, were struck by Derik Wirhouski, 50, who police had said blew a stop sign on Route 23 in Catskill on Tuesday, Sept. 10. He was later charged with DWI and issued multiple traffic citations. Person Jumps From Bridge In Region Dive teams, fire departments, and EMS personnel are searching for a person who jumped from a bridge in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge in Beacon around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The patrols will occur in Dutchess County in the town of Poughkeepsie in the coming weeks. According to the town of Poughkeepsie Police, officers will actively monitor for violations such as speeding, unsafe lane changes, passing red lights, and other dangerous driving behaviors.  "Our goal is to enhance road safety and ensure a secure driving environment for everyone," the department said.
