Bay Shore Resident Killed After House Fire Breaks Out
A resident was killed in a Long Island house fire. The blaze broke out just before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27 in Bay Shore. Artemio Gonzalez, age 77, had been removed from the house by a family member, a good Samaritan and a Suffolk County PD Third Precinct officer. Gonzalez was transported to South Shore Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead, police said. 5 Hospitalized After Flames Engulf Long Island Home
Three adults and a pair of children were taken to a local hospital after a large fire broke out at a residential home. It happened in East Meadow on Tuesday, June 25, according to Nassau County Police. At approximately 3:40 p.m., police arrived at the home, which was on Arleigh Road, to see the house fully engulfed in flames. The East Meadow Fire Department, along with multiple fire departments from surrounding towns, were able to extinguish the blaze. Police reported that the house suffered extensive damage.
