A New York State Police trooper who claimed someone shot him on a roadway in the region is now under criminal investigation amid growing doubts over his story. On Long Island, state police “have reason to believe that the incident did not occur the way it was reported” by trooper Thomas Mascia, an agency spokesperson told reporters Wednesday morning, Nov. 6. New Details Emerge After Amityville Man Found Shot Dead On Long Island Roadway
New details have been released after a man was found dead on Long Island. Click here for a new, updated story: ID Released For 32-Year-Old Found Shot Dead On Roadway In Wantagh Officers responding to Wayside Lane in Wantagh at around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, located the person on the side of the road who had sustained a gunshot wound. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene. In a new update, police say the person has been identified as a 32-year-old from Amityville. His identity has not yet been released. 3 Women Shot Outside Suburban NY Restaurant
A suspect is on the loose after three women were shot outside a restaurant in the Hudson Valley. It happened just after 3 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 in Central Nyack, outside CY's Restaurant and Lounge, located at 37 Route 59. Arrival officers discovered a woman with gunshot wounds to her leg and abdomen, lying on the ground in front of the establishment, Clarkstown Police said. The officers, along with Emergency Medical Services (EMS), provided immediate medical aid before transporting her to Montefiore Nyack Hospital. Suspect At Large After Man Shot In Face In Broad Daylight In Syosset
A suspect is on the loose after a shooting in broad daylight on Long Island. It happened around 11:10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, in Syosset near 225 Underhill Blvd. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a 34-year-old man had sustained a gunshot wound to the face, Nassau County Police said. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
