A popular Italian taquería is opening a new restaurant on Long Island. Tony’s Tacos signed a long-term lease at Holbrook’s The Shops at SunVet on Sunrise Highway, according to Breslin Realty. One person was killed and four others hospitalized in a single-vehicle crash on the Long Island Expressway. It happened around 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, in Melville. A 30-year-old man was driving a 2004 Nissan Sentra eastbound, near the Pinelawn Road overpass, when he lost control of the vehicle, which exited the roadway, crashed into trees and overturned, according to Suffolk County Police. Two people were killed in a wrong-way crash on a Long Island highway. It happened on the Meadowbrook State Parkway north of Bay Parkway in Hempstead, at around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6. Moses Johnson, age 63, of Huntington, pleaded guilty to grand larceny in Suffolk County Court on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Prosecutors said Johnson’s mother died in April 2021 and he never notified the bank or the New York State and Local Retirement System of her death. Between April 2021 and June 2022, he collected a total of 15 unauthorized payments totaling $56,411. The stolen funds were traced from Johnson’s mother’s bank account into his bank account.
