Bicyclist Struck, Killed Crossing Busy Street In Miller Place A bicyclist was struck and killed crossing a busy Long Island street during the evening commute. The collision occurred in Miller Place, on Route 25A east of Hunter Avenue, shortly before 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3. Marc Wilke, 51, was riding his bike southbound across Route 25A when he was struck by an eastbound Nissan sedan, Suffolk County Police said. Wilke, of Patchogue, was taken by ambulance to Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson, where he was pronounced dead, according to police. 33-Year-Old Critically Injured In Crash Near Shopping Plaza In Miller Place One person suffered severe injuries in an overnight crash in front of a Long Island shopping center. It happened just before 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, in Miller Place. A 33-year-old Selden man was operating a 2016 Suzuki westbound on Route 25A at 6:55 p.m. when the motorcycle struck the rear of an eastbound 2023 Chevrolet Traverse attempting to turn left into the Miller Place Plaza, located at 451 Route 25A, according to Suffolk County Police.
