Police Cracking Down On Drunk, Speeding Drivers In NY Over Columbus Day Weekend If you're driving on New York roads over Columbus Day weekend, make sure you keep to the speed limit and plan ahead if you drink—authorities will be there to catch those who slip up.  In an announcement on Friday, Oct. 11, New York Gov.
