Wading River Man ID'd As Victim In Double-Fatal Wrong-Way Driver Crash In
Two men were killed during a wrong-way driver crash on the Taconic State Parkway in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 2:40 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, in LaGrange. According to New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks, an initial investigation determined Joseph W. LaFave, age 35, of LaGrange, driving a 2017 BMW X1, traveled north in the southbound lane on the Taconic State Parkway in the area of Todd Hill Road. Holmark Garces, age 35, of Bay Shore, was sentenced to 27 to 30 years in prison in Suffolk County Court on Monday, Sept. 30. One person suffered severe injuries in a crash near an office park on Long Island. It happened around 7:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, in Lake Ronkonkoma. Relatives are desperately trying to locate a man who has been missing for weeks after his car was found abandoned near a Long Island highway.
