Cop Hospitalized After Motorist Becomes Combative In Valley Stream, Police Say A police officer was hospitalized after a Long Island motorist allegedly became combative after being stopped near an intersection. Officers conducted the traffic stop of a 2012 Dodge Challenger in Valley Stream in the vicinity of Hook Creek Boulevard and 136th Avenue at around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2. Cop Impersonator Pulls Shield, Phony ID During Long Island Traffic Stop, Police Say A routine traffic stop led to a Long Island man in handcuffs, accused of impersonating a police officer. Southampton Town Police stopped a driver for alleged vehicle and traffic law violations on County Road 39 in Southampton on Thursday, Sept. 26. When the officer asked the man for his ID, he presented a police shield and claimed to work for the Suffolk County Police Department. He then presented a police identification card. Officers were called about a domestic disturbance at a home in Roosevelt shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28. Nassau County Police said a 39-year-old woman told officers that Joshua Williams, age 27, was intoxicated and breaking items in the home. The incident happened at around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25, in West Hempstead. Nassau County Police said officers were called to a restaurant on Hempstead Turnpike for a disturbance involving a man and woman. A witness told police that 27-year-old Luis Taborda Corrales, got into an argument with a 26-year-old woman that escalated before he fled on a bicycle.
