'Cold-Blooded Killer': Man Gets Decades In Prison For 2022 Capital Region Killing A man from the region will spend the next four decades to life behind bars after being convicted of the murder of a woman in 2022, authorities said.  Rensselaer County resident Tyshaun Purvis, age 33, of Troy, was sentenced to 34 years to life in prison Thursday, Aug. 22, for the fatal daylight shooting of Dominique Eley, the Albany County District Attorney’s Office said. Woman Injured In Stabbing Attack In Capital Region A woman is recovering after she was repeatedly stabbed on a residential street in the region. The attack happened in Albany’s Arbor Hill neighborhood, on North Pearl Street near Wilson Street, at around 5:40 p.m. Monday, July 22. Albany Police said officers arrived to find a 46-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds to her arm and leg. She was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital where she remains in stable condition. No suspects had been arrested as of Tuesday afternoon, July 23. It was not immediately clear whether the victim knows her attacker or what led up to the incident. A…
