Fatal Crash: Motorist Killed After Being Ejected From Vehicle In Hudson Valley A person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. It happened just after 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20 in Ulster County in the town of Gardiner. A preliminary investigation by New York State Police revealed that a 2017 Ford operated by a 62-year-old Long Island resident Carle Place, was traveling east bound on State Route 44/55 and made a left turn onto State Route 299 traveling west.  He failed to yield the right of way to a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was traveling west causing the motorcycle to strike the vehicle, police said. It happened around 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18 in Dutchess County in the town of Wappinger. New York State Police said an initial investigation determined Tyler N. Fatal Crash Involving Deer: 28-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Region A young man has died after a vehicle crashed into a deer in the Hudson Valley. It happened around 6:50 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 in Orange County on Route 302 near the intersection with State Route 17K in the town of Crawford. Stephen Montgomery, age 28, of Pine Bush was operating a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound when the deer crossed his path, causing the collision. The collision occurred in Greene County on Route 23 in Catskill at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10. According to Greene County Sheriff's Office Capt. The Albany County incident happened at around 8 p.m. Saturday, June 22, on southbound I-87 in Colonie. New York State Police said troopers attempted to stop a motorcyclist for speeding near Exit 4, but the man continued driving southbound as police followed. He attempted to get off the highway at Exit 2W, but lost control and crashed on the off-ramp. Fatal Crash: 34-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Capital Region Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that left one person dead in the region. It happened around 5:10 p.m. Thursday, June 20, in Albany. The investigation determined that Albany County resident Michael F. Furch, age 34, of Guilderland, was operating a motorcycle when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a concrete barrier exiting I-787 on the off-ramp to I-90, New York State Police said. Furch was ejected from the motorcycle and landed on the shoulder of I-787 northbound below the off-ramp.   Furch was pronounced dead at the scene.
