Person Extricated After 2-Vehicle Crash In Region A man was seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. The collision occurred in Sullivan County on Route 17 at 7:40 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, in the town of Liberty. According to Trooper Jennifer Alvarez of the New York State Police, a 2011 Cadillac traveling northwest near the ramp at Exit 110A pulled in front of a 1995 Ford on Route 55, causing the front of the Ford to hit the driver's side of the Cadillac. Welfare Fraud Task Force In Region Nabs Alleged Violators Four recipients of welfare benefits in the region were nabbed for a variety of alleged crimes ranging from selling a SNAP card to failing to report income. The four were charged in Sullivan County from August to October by the Sullivan County Welfare Task Force. The four include: Sage Pere, age 26, of Monticello, was charged on Friday, Aug. 23, for criminal use of a benefit card. It is alleged that Pere sold her SNAP benefit card, issued by the Sullivan County Department of Social Services, for $50 cash. The card had $100 worth of benefits on it. The arrest occurred in Sullivan County in the village of Liberty on Tuesday, Aug. 13, for an incident in 2023. Alert Issued For 32-Year-Old Woman Who's Gone Missing In Hudson Valley A 32-year-old woman has gone missing in the region and authorities are asking the public's help in locating her. New York State Police in Sullivan County from Troop F in Liberty are attempting to locate Jennifer E. Bruning, who was last seen in the hamlet of Barryville, adding that her welfare is currently a concern.  Bruning has ties to Orange County (Port Jervis and Newburgh).  Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact NYSP Liberty at 845-344-5300.
