Multiple children and one adult were left stranded at least 25 feet above the ground after a ride malfunctioned at Adventureland in Farmingdale, prompting a large rescue operation Friday, June 19, responders said. The Wave Twister, the park's newest attraction, stopped with 15 passengers onboard, according to the East Farmingdale Volunteer Fire Company. Man Rescued After Crashing 60 Feet Down Into Rocky Embankment In Region
A man had to be carried around 60 feet up a rocky Hudson Valley gorge after crashing into it, authorities said. The crash happened in Putnam County on Sunday, Oct. 6, when an all-terrain vehicle crashed down a cliff in Cold Spring at the gorge on Mill Road, according to the North Highlands Fire Department.
