An ice fishing trip ended in tragedy after a snowmobile went through the ice on a pond, New York State Police announced on Monday, Jan. 19.
Three people were ice fishing on Chaumont Pond — which connects to the Oswegatchie River in the Town of Clifton — when they failed to return home, troopers said.
