David Hadsell, Mario Sierra Charged In Root Teen Kidnapping
Two New York men are facing kidnapping charges after picking up a teen they met on social media without permission, police said.
David Hadsell and Mario Sierra, both 20, were arrested on Tuesday, May 6, following an investigation by New York State Police.
Troopers in Montgomery County were called at around 9 p.m. Monday, May 5, for a report of a missing teenager in the town of Root, police said.
The teen had connected with Sierra on social media and was picked up that evening by both Sierra and Hadsell—without the knowledge or permission of the child’s guardian, according to police.

Ashley Hervieux, 38, was arrested in April following an investigation by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office, the agency revealed Tuesday, May 6.
