Overnight Fire Closes Restaurant In Capital Region: 'Can't Wait To Serve You Again' A Capital Region restaurant is vowing to reopen following an overnight fire. Firefighters in Latham responded to the Metro 7 Diner on Troy-Schenectady Road for an alarm and structure fire at around 10:45 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26. At least six agencies, including the Albany International Airport Fire Department, worked to extinguish the flames. There were no reports of injuries. Capital Region Teen Others Beat Victims With Baseball Bat For Jordan A 19-year-old man and four others are accused of beating a father and son with baseball bats to steal their shoes at a Capital Region sports store over the weekend, authorities said.  Albany County resident Kyle H. Fowlkes, of Colonie, faces charges of robbery, two counts of assault, and possession of a weapon, Colonie police said.
