Double-Fatal House Fire: Mother, 1-Year-Old Daughter ID'd As Victims In Region
A mother and her 1-year-old daughter were killed in a large house fire in the region that left another child and a man were seriously injured. The blaze broke out in Dutchess County in the town of Clinton at 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13. According to New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks, troopers responded to a residential house fire with the East Clinton Fire Department on Clinton Hollow Road in the town of Clinton. The community is rallying around the family of a beloved elementary school principal in the region who was killed in a car crash. Saratoga County resident Nicholas Criscone, age 50, of Charlton, died Saturday, July 20, when his vehicle went off Stage Road in Charlton, struck a tree, and caught fire. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to New York State Police.
