Long Islanders have a new spot to get their burrito fix.
Chipotle Mexican Grill has officially opened its doors in Islandia, bringing its beloved burritos, bowls, and tacos to 1900 Veterans Memorial Highway.
The popular restaurant chain, which celebrated its grand opening on Monday, Feb. 24, is part of a newly developed retail strip next to Walgreens. It joins Panera Bread, which opened in December, making this a prime destination for fast-casual food lovers on Long Island.

Long Island diners have a fresh new spot to enjoy healthy, eco-friendly meals.
Just Salad has brought its crave-worthy, plant-centric menu to Port Washington, where the company is celebrating the grand opening of its sixth Long Island store at 143 Shore Road.
Customers can choose from over 15 chef-designed menu items, including seasonal salads, warm bowls, wraps, soups, and smoothies. Highlights include customer favorites like the Crispy Chicken Poblano, Thai Chicken Crunch, and the nutrient-packed Tokyo Supergreens salad.

Popular Taco Chain Opening Second Suffolk County Restaurant
A popular Italian taquería is opening a new restaurant on Long Island.
Tony’s Tacos signed a long-term lease at Holbrook’s The Shops at SunVet on Sunrise Highway, according to Breslin Realty. An opening date was not given.
The restaurant chain boasts just about every type of taco one could crave, including several varieties of chicken, shrimp, pork, fish, and veggie tacos.

Don’t let the name fool you; all body types are welcome at this new Long Island restaurant.
Fat Boy’s Burrito opened its latest store in Patchogue, at 74 East Main Street, on Tuesday, Aug. 20.
Founded in 2017 by Tony Othman, the fast-casual Mexican eatery specializes in “fat” burritos, as well as quesadillas, tacos, and street corn.
Customer favorites, according to Yelp, include the Fat Hawaiian Burrito – made with marinated steak, grilled pineapple shrimp, rice, arugula, salsa, onion strings, and Fat Boy’s sauce.
